Affinity Packaging were delighted to be contacted by local MP Seema Kennedy after she read about our recent capital investments in folding carton die cutting and finishing which have led to 15 new jobs being created in Leyland.
Mrs Kennedy visited the factory at the beginning of June and congratulated us on our investment in the local economy especially as it is from sustainable packaging cartonboard products.

During the factory tour Mrs Kennedy showed particular interest in our customers and products as well as the the new machinery. Mrs Kennedy, in her role as private parliamentary secretary to Theresa May, was able to re-affirm that the commitment to creating a more sustainable future for packaging goes all the way to the top of the government.

Managing Director Chris Dew said:

We were delighted to welcome Seema to the plant for her to see how far the business has grown since the creation of Affinity Packaging in 2014. It is good to know that the efforts of private companies like ourselves to create employment get recognised and also that the current wave of sentiment towards our sustainable packaging solutions is understood and supported by the government and public sector.
